For most people, February is a cold, gray winter month. But not at the Wichmann Orchid Center. Here you can experience a huge paradise of exotic orchids in all imaginable colors and shapes at the same time. Christian Wichmann, Managing Director of the Orchid Center, invites you to the open days on February 11, 12 and 13. On this long weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to witness the enchanting spectacle of the main flowering season and immerse themselves in the fascinating world of orchids. The nursery has 18 greenhouses covering an area of over 9000 square meters with hundreds of different species and varieties of orchids. <\/p>\n
The family business is now in its fourth generation of growing orchids, for which they have received several national and international awards. During the open days, visitors can expect not only a journey through the exotic world of orchids, but also craftsmanship from the local region. <\/p>\n
Admission is free. Independent browsing is possible and encouraged. You will be guided by signs and display boards. The doors are open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 4 pm.
