Plant trays
Planters make orchids shine
Planters offer a great alternative to conventional pots, as they really bring out the graceful beauty of orchids. The oval shape of the planter is not only decorative but also functional, allowing daylight to reach the aerial roots.
Planting the plant tray correctly
Pour some substrate on the bottom before you place the orchid in the tray to keep the roots away from excess water that collects at the bottom. You can also plant the exotic beauties in a transparent substrate pot in the boat. Tip: Only combine orchids with similar care requirements, otherwise one variety will thrive less well. Phalaenopsis and Dendrobium Phalaenopsis with different flower colours get along very well and look great next to each other.
Staging orchids beautifully
Depending on the size of the pot and plants, you can create a delightful arrangement of two to three orchids in a single boat. To ensure that the transparent substrate pots do not detract from the decorative look, cover them carefully with substrate or cover them with thin twigs. The surface can be embellished with sphagnum moss, decorative stones or other creative elements to make the houseplants particularly eye-catching.
