Opinion about customer "Karsta"
As I know and have already experienced, there can always be colour changes in the flowers of Vandeas and their relatives. We have brighter colours in summer and usually more and larger flowers.
In winter and early spring, there are fewer and smaller flowers and the colours are more intense.
These are our observations!
You bought the plant at the end of November, maybe that's why! But it has a great colour even in the dark!
Perhaps you had slightly lighter-coloured flowers in summer 2015!

Addendum to my last customer opinion
Just wanted to let you know that the Mikasa blue is flowering for the 3rd time this year!!!
That's unbelievable, but it's true!
My friend probably has just the right light conditions for it to flower so many times a year! Or it's because of the healthy Bavarian mountain air.
The Ascocentras and Ascocendas also flower there often and regularly!
Unfortunately, they only flower about twice a year here in the north. But they usually last 14 days longer than those in the south.

I'm a bit disappointed!
Unfortunately, the colour doesn't match the picture. It is much darker. I was already disappointed!

Gift
I received a free surprise with one of my orders.
Miltassia Toskana, it hadn't flowered, but after half a year, it has got a great flower panicle, and I'm looking forward to the first flower opening!
Thanks again to Orchideen Wichmann!

Happy to bloom
I gave him this orchid as a gift in November last year. I had it sent to his address in Bavaria and it arrived beautifully and safely packaged.
The plant was huge, especially with the long roots and the really large flower panicle. When I received a photo by e-mail, I almost couldn't believe that it had arrived undamaged!!!
It had 9 large flowers! It then faded after about 4 weeks, but that's normal.
As it is said that Vanda and its fellow species are somewhat difficult to get to flower again, he had hoped that it would work.
And at the end of May, the next flower panicle appeared!
As he said, he didn't pay much attention to it. It stands in a large glass vase, which is filled with some expanded clay at the bottom. He only pours the expanded clay with distilled water because of the lime deposits.
As he is travelling a lot, he can't immerse it regularly. He sprays the roots from time to time. So you could say he treats it very "stepmotherly".
It is in a south-facing window, without much shade.
We were really surprised that it flowered again so quickly. There were 11 flowers! Unbelievable!
Orchideen Wichmann is simply top !!!! 12 out of 10 points!!!
