Oncidium ornithorhynchum (young plant)

I received this orchid as a free young plant just over a year ago. It flowered about 6 months later with three panicles for about 3 months and also produced new shoots. Very easy to care for, robust orchid. Thank you for that!

I got this orchid a good 2 years ago as a young plant. Flowered somewhat "timidly" after a year with only 3 panicles and has now grown into a large, stately plant with currently 6-8 flower panicles from just one bulb. Overall, the plant is a large sea of flowers, as several bulbs are in bloom. The scent is pleasant, a little like vanilla. Although the flowers are small, they have a very interesting structure and are reminiscent of a flying bird. For me, this is a very easy plant to care for with a lush, appealing floral display. I ordered the flower as a young plant. I was surprised at the size of the leaves, as I hadn't expected them to be this big on a young plant. After 1.5 months, 2 flower stalks formed and the flower is now in bloom. The scent is simply delightful! Every time I smell the flower, I think of sweets because the scent is pleasantly sweet. It smells particularly strong in the morning. Despatch was quick and easy and the flower was very well packaged. I'm happy with everything

I bought this plant as a young plant, although I think it has already flowered, as old cut stems were visible on the bulbs. I am therefore hoping that the plant will also flower in my garden.
I assume that it really is the "ornithorhynchum", as my plant was only labelled "Oncidium".
The packaging was great and the delivery was quick.
