Like last year, our Orchid Summer Festival will once again take place in August. On 22-24.08. There is something for everyone.

Opening hours:

Friday and Saturday from 10.00 am – 6.00 pm

Sunday from 11.00 am – 4.00 pm

(Admission is free!)

From the orchid competition and the tour of the greenhouses with the orchid professional to the orchid prize scoop, you will find everything an orchid lover’s heart desires.

Children are also very welcome. There is a children’s bouncy castle and a painting competition.

Tour with the orchid professional:

Friday / Saturday: 10.00 am, 12.00 pm, 2.00 pm, 4.00 pm

Sunday: 11.00 a.m., 12.30 p.m., 2.00 p.m.

A fine arts and crafts market on the meadow in front of the Orchid Center rounds off the offer. There is bobbin lace jewelry, honey specialties, fine soaps, art ceramics and much more…

Of course, refreshments will also be provided. The Rotary Club Celle-Schloss will be selling coffee/cake, sausages and cold drinks. The proceeds from this will be donated to charity.

Summer party campaign:

This weekend only, you will receive an orchid brochure from the VDOB (Verband Deutscher Orchideenbetriebe) with lots of useful tips about orchids worth €4.95 with a purchase of €25.00 or more.

Wichmann Orchid Center in Celle

One of Germany’s oldest and most renowned orchid companies. Founded in 1897, the business has specialized in the cultivation and care of orchids for generations and, with its approximately 8,000 m² of space, is now one of Europe’s leading orchid nurseries. It offers visitors an impressive variety of orchid species and hybrids across a 650 m² sales area. Today, it is run by the fourth generation of the family and is internationally renowned, in part due to awards won at exhibitions such as the Federal Horticultural Show.

Interested visitors can also take part in guided tours, during which we provide in-depth insights into our work, plant propagation, and plant care. This includes informative presentations and a tour of our greenhouses. In addition to orchids, our retail area offers a wide variety of green and flowering plants, as well as decorative accessories, planters, growing media, and orchid pots. In our online store, you’ll find all our products available for shipping throughout Germany and Europe.
