Fall Market with Open House

Fall Market with Open House

This year, the Trade Association’s Fall Market and the Open House will take place at the Orchid Center.

On September 19 and 20, 2026, the Groß Hehlen-Scheuen-Hustedt Business Association, together with the Wichmann Orchid Center, invites you to the Fall and Business Market featuring an “Open House.” Many of the 70 member businesses, artisans, and regional exhibitors will showcase their products and services on the center’s grounds. There will also be activities for children, including a bounce house and many other attractions.

The highlight of the fall market will be the big raffle, featuring numerous grand prizes and smaller prizes. A varied program of entertainment, including music, food, and drinks, will round out the event.

Visitors also get a behind-the-scenes look at the orchid nursery’s 18 cultivation greenhouses and experience the cultivation and propagation of exotic orchids up close. Staff members at the Wichmann Orchid Center provide expert explanations, and there’s also an orchid consultation hour for visitors’ own plants. Across 9,000 m², visitors can expect a wide selection of blooming orchids and special offers.

Admission is free, and ample parking is available.

Wichmann Orchid Center in Celle

One of Germany’s oldest and most renowned orchid companies. Founded in 1897, the business has specialized in the cultivation and care of orchids for generations and, with its approximately 8,000 m² of space, is now one of Europe’s leading orchid nurseries. It offers visitors an impressive variety of orchid species and hybrids across a 650 m² sales area. Today, it is run by the fourth generation of the family and is internationally renowned, in part due to awards won at exhibitions such as the Federal Horticultural Show.

Interested visitors can also take part in guided tours, during which we provide in-depth insights into our work, plant propagation, and plant care. This includes informative presentations and a tour of our greenhouses. In addition to orchids, our retail area offers a wide variety of green and flowering plants, as well as decorative accessories, planters, growing media, and orchid pots. In our online store, you’ll find all our products available for shipping throughout Germany and Europe.
