Our free tour of the facility begins right on time at 10 a.m. on the first Sunday of every month.

You’ll enjoy a guided tour through the tropical orchid greenhouses. Take a look behind the scenes at one of Germany’s largest orchid nurseries and experience the diversity of these fascinating plants.

The tour is rounded out by an expert guide. Not only will you learn how the professional cultivates his orchids in the greenhouses, but you’ll also receive many useful tips for home and a wealth of information about this exotic yet easy-to-care-for family of plants—the orchids. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to browse and shop at the Orchid Center.

Wichmann Orchid Center in Celle

One of Germany’s oldest and most renowned orchid companies. Founded in 1897, the business has specialized in the cultivation and care of orchids for generations and, with its approximately 8,000 m² of space, is now one of Europe’s leading orchid nurseries. It offers visitors an impressive variety of orchid species and hybrids across a 650 m² sales area. Today, it is run by the fourth generation of the family and is internationally renowned, in part due to awards won at exhibitions such as the Federal Horticultural Show.

Interested visitors can also take part in guided tours, during which we provide in-depth insights into our work, plant propagation, and plant care. This includes informative presentations and a tour of our greenhouses. In addition to orchids, our retail area offers a wide variety of green and flowering plants, as well as decorative accessories, planters, growing media, and orchid pots. In our online store, you’ll find all our products available for shipping throughout Germany and Europe.
