Overwintering your potted plants

Overwintering your potted plants

You bring us your potted plants and we will look after them professionally for you during the winter months. They are kept frost-free in a specially reserved greenhouse.
Prices are as follows:
up to 1.20 m high €8.00 / month and plant
up to 1.80 m high €10.00 / month and plant
larger plants €14.00 / month and plant

On receipt of the plants, we pay close attention to their condition and document this. Each plant is given its own name label so that mix-ups are impossible.

Please note: Unfortunately, plants infested with pests cannot be accepted. Plants must be delivered to us in the fall and picked up again in the spring. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver any plants.

Wichmann Orchid Center in Celle

One of Germany’s oldest and most renowned orchid companies. Founded in 1897, the business has specialized in the cultivation and care of orchids for generations and, with its approximately 8,000 m² of space, is now one of Europe’s leading orchid nurseries. It offers visitors an impressive variety of orchid species and hybrids across a 650 m² sales area. Today, it is run by the fourth generation of the family and is internationally renowned, in part due to awards won at exhibitions such as the Federal Horticultural Show.

Interested visitors can also take part in guided tours, during which we provide in-depth insights into our work, plant propagation, and plant care. This includes informative presentations and a tour of our greenhouses. In addition to orchids, our retail area offers a wide variety of green and flowering plants, as well as decorative accessories, planters, growing media, and orchid pots. In our online store, you’ll find all our products available for shipping throughout Germany and Europe.
