Origin:

India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. They are commonly found in the perpetually humid and warm regions of tropical rainforests. They always grow as epiphytes, but mostly on trees.

Location:

Any bright, warm windowsill in the living area. Avoid excessive heat from direct sunlight. Risk of leaf burn.

Temperature:

Temperatures between 18 and 25 °C are ideal. High humidity would be good, but most varieties these days are tolerant.

Giessen:

Water thoroughly and deeply or submerge 1–2 times a week. Drain off any excess water.

Fertilizing:

Every 14 days with orchid fertilizer: 0.5 grams or 0.5 milliliters per liter of water.

Special features:

After flowering, trim the flower stem by 1/3 from the top. The buds (growth points) below this point can produce an additional flower stem. This orchid has been bred to be very hardy, long-lasting, and prolific in flowering.
