Angraecum
Angraecum is probably the best known African orchid and with 200 species a fairly large genus.
Many of the species of this genus originate from the more humid lowland areas of Africa. But also in higher mountain regions Angraecum occurs. Angraecum grows continuously without rest periods throughout the year. A special feature against other fragrant orchid species Angraecum often exude an intense scent with the onset of dusk.

Aengraecum likes it bright but no direct sunlight in the summer. In winter it should be as bright as possible. Temperatures between 25 and 35 °C are optimal. Angraecum is excellently suited as a bound culture. You should always keep it evenly moist. In a potting you have to pay attention to loose, coarse substrate and avoid waterlogging. From March to October it is possible to fertilize every 14 days but only with special orchid fertilizers in low concentration. No more fertilizer is needed in winter.
